Railway Sleepers and Wagon Planks

We are proud to offer reclaimed timber sleepers and wagon planks. These are perfect if you are looking for wood that is in as natural a state as possible. As they are decades old, they have plenty of patina, including the boltholes, dark patches and scratches.

To make them thinner and more versatile than your average wooden sleepers, planks and sleepers from Elephant Timber have been sliced horizontally and do not contain nails or creosote. 

Our wagon planks were originally parts of trains used to transport freight. As a result they have wonderful scars from decades of use, giving them character that cannot be fabricated.

These versatile oak sleepers and wagon planks can be repurposed to build a wide range of items, including table tops, furniture, shelving, flooring, feature walls and garden planters.
